My parents don't approve of my major?

<p>Goodness, this is so upsetting. I plan on double majoring in English and Journalism, but as Asian as they can ever be, they would much rather prefer me to major in Biology or Architecture. </p>

<p>It's so frustrating because not only are they unhappy with my decision, they also don't take me seriously. When I told them I wanted to have a degree in Journalism, they LAUGHED as if it was some sort of joke. I love English, reading, and knowing about the current news, but apparently, they just won't take me seriously.</p>

<p>Well that’s a mean way to put it, but I’d just explain to them the passion you have for it and take it from there!</p>
