Look - time to approach this in a mature manner.
Take the list of schools that will also honor the tuition waiver.
THAT is YOUR list of schools. Research them and make your list from those schools.
It is extremely reasonable that your parents would expect you to take advantage of this tuition benefit.
If you are not “academic” then perhaps you would be better served by taking a few years off and finding out what it really is you want to study.
However, the option of picking a school for the “experience” and expecting your parents to pay for it - not reasonable at all.
