right now i’m enrolled in ECN 111a (US Econ History up to 1865) ECN 160b (int’l macro) HIS 4c (western civ) and POL 3 (scientific study of polsci). this was when i thought i was double majoring in econ/IR, but i’ve decided not to do IR anymore for various reasons.
anyway, i’m going to drop HIS and POL and pick up ECN 160b (int’l micro) and that’ll make 12 units, but i want one more class.

the two classes i’m trying to decide between are LIN 180 (2nd language learning/teaching) and MGT 11A (elementary accounting). either way, i’m probably going to take it pass/no pass in order to protect my gpa, especially since they’re not in my major.
i’m probably going to end up doing a LIN minor because i need a certain amount of UD units and i love linguistics anyway, but the thing is, i think accounting would be really useful for employers and such. and i’ll still be able to complete the minor within four years even if i don’t take it, but it wouldn’t hurt to take a LIN class now.

LIN is TR 9-1020am and without it i wouldn’t have class before noon, and MGT perfectly fills the 1.5 hour gap between two of my classes TR, so there’s that to consider as well. oh and in LIN 180, the professor is the same one i had for LIN 1, which i got an A in.

what would you do in my situation? i’m considering just picking up both for a total of 20 units and then dropping whichever one is worse.
has anyone here taken either MGT 11a or LIN 180?
