<p>I'm afraid that you Americans understand something completely different under Libertarian than we Germans do... I'm all in for economic freedom, bare social securities, fostering of elites, low taxes, small government, unlimited research and elimination of any support for the church...</p>

<p>Well put, pk, and I wholeheartedly agree with every word. But it would seem to me, (and I'm talking as an outsider so I may be wrong), that the Secretary of State is the woman with the real power right now. And she is black to boot. Blacks are even more underrepresented than women, but no one seems to be talking about Condoleeza Rice. It just seems to me that all the hype about Pelosi is a bit overdone...
Far be it from me to try to start an argument, so don't take it that way! I am honestly trying to understand...</p>
