My Problem w/ housing.......

Basically im going to make this short and sweet... I am a dual graduate at my high school as a dual enrollment student and high schooler. I will have my AA degree and also my high school diploma before I graduate high school.

I have been denied as a freshman, but the college said I WILL be accepted as a transfer if I keep my grades up (I have a 4.0 now and need a 3.4 this semester to be accepted). BUT, they cannot give me official acceptance notification or even conditional acceptance as a transfer. This is because I only have 2/7 critical tracking courses for the Warrignton Business School.

So heres the problem, I cannot apply for housing until I become accepted... But I calculated since they want me to finish this semester before I can even be accepted its going to be July before I even get acceptance for housing. (Comm. College semester ends May 20ish and it takes the teachers till June 1ish before they relase/grade the grades. Then it takes time for the transcripts to process and also for the housing acceptance).

In a way im screwed housing-wise, all the freshman get dorms on campus and even the transfers get preferences over me due to their critical tracking courses being "on time".

Any way for me to actually appeal or even have a chance at a standard dorm such as rawlings, jennings, broward, beaty, murphy, lakeside, etc etc??? Or am I going to have to get a off campus private apratment.

I really want the traditional college experience but UF is not letting up or even being understanding.

To put the cherry on top, my dual graduate degree advisor who is suppose to be my "advocate" is probably getting drunk every day and not giving a crap whether or not I get special privledges as a dual graduate. (Which I am suppose to im only 17).

Any ideas?

anyone know? 0.o

What do you mean by "the college said" like that's what your admissions decision said or what? Knowing the answer to this question may help. Maybe if you can show housing you'll be accepted, they will let you sign up?

If all else fails get on the waiting list and check back. A lot of freshman move out of their dorms 1st and 2nd semesters.

if students currently enrolled at UF didnt even make the housing lottery, and if some accepted students arent even guaranteed on campus housing, why would you be?

my advice is to find an apartment that would be around the cost of a dorm you'd be wiling to pay for, and believe me there are plenty

Thats the thing, I should be treated as a freshman still...According to my advisor...(who isnt helpful)

true...best i can say is get on the waiting list which pretty much means nothing lol
