If you want private colleges with a fair number of Hispanics, look at Austin College, Southwestern University, St Edward’s (one of the small universities with the highest percentage of hispanics admitted to med school), LMU, Santa Clara University, Chapman, USan Diego, Stanford, Whittier. Look into Chicago-area schools and Florida privates (although Latinos in Florida may be more likely to be from Cuban American families rather than Mexican American families, compared to Texas or California).

Now, do you want a school that admits a lot of Hispanics? Or a school with a lot of kids from your income bracket?
That may be quite different.
Are you first gen (no parent graduated from a 4-year college)? What’s your parents’ income?

Have you thought about the University of Miami? It has a very diverse student population with a fairly high percentage of hispanic kids. My son likes a lot of diversity as well and U of Miami is on his list. He is a white kid but he speaks Spanish, has a lot of Mexican and Mexican-American friends and has traveled abroad a lot, so we think U of Miami might be a pretty good match for him. From what I’ve read it seems like a really neat school with a lot to offer. You may not get merit aid there with your scores, but if your parents can afford it, U of Miami might be one to consider.

Good luck whatever you decide!

@neatoburrito The OP doesn’t want to be the only one of his race. There is no problem with that. He didn’t say there was anything wrong with white people. But I imagine that it would be extremely uncomfortable to be in a school that’s 90% white if you AREN’T white.
