My procrastination is getting out of hand and I need help.

I’m a high school senior and while we’ve all put off an assignment, mine has never been this bad. i have like two Cs, one D and one F. The problem is my sleepiness. Most of my bad grades are in my AP classes, and all grades are still raisable.
I sleep a lot and I don’t know why. I’ll sleep during school, come home and sleep until 8. I’ll wake up for twenty minutes and sleep through the night and wake up at two, play on my phone and start honework at 4. I have multiple tests coming up and ACT coming up and I haven’t done anything. It could be because I don’t have a desk and I try to do homework on my bed. I tried to do it at the kitchen table but like there are bugs and it gets cold. I can’t stay after school a lot because I take the city bus which has a problem not coming by the bus stop after 3.
I am just so tired of feeling like a failure and I know I can do better, and right now everything I do determines how many scholarships I could get, and I need them. If anyone can help me that would be awesome, I’m really struggling right now.

Something isn’t right…being that sleepy isn’t normal.

You might have a health issue…Mono?
also I wonder if you might be depressed…the sleepiness and inability to get things done.

If you can, I would talk to my parents about this and say I need to go to the doctor.
If that doesn’t work, talk to your school nurse and guidance counselor and ask for help.
The bugs in the kitchen worries me…what is going on there? Is it not being kept clean? Why is your kitchen cold?

I don’t know I feel healthy and not depressed…it is not good sleep though. Usually having nightmares or just waking up and moving a lot.
The bugs are not worrisome, but the kitchen is next to the backyard door, so yeah, bugs. They bother me more than it should honestly. When the air turns on. I mean I know I can just turn it off, but then it’ll get hot and my dad doesn’t like it when I keep turning it off and on. I made an agreement recently to keep it at 80 degrees. I have no idea why I’m so tired. Im blaming it on the fact that I’m a teenager?

Sleeping that much sounds like a mental or physical health issue, you should tell your parents about this and go see a doctor and/or a psychologist.

I feel like I emphasized too much how much I sleep. I usually wake up around 2-4 in the morning, most times at 2 i fall asleep and wake up between 4-5. 5 is my time to get up so I can make it to school on time. I don’t get sleepy at school until my last two classes in the day, and I’ll struggle to stay awake. I get home around 330, then I’ll procrastinate until 5, then fall asleep and wake up again around 7-8, stay up and procrastinate again until 9, then fall asleep, and the cycle repeats.

Though for the last two days I’ve been making myself stay up until 9 at least and try to do homework until then.

So your sleeping from about 2-5 at night which is 3 hours. And 5-8 during the day is six. Then from 9-2? Honestly I’m confused it sounds like about 11 hours, but I could be wrong.

What time does school start?

And of course, it isn’t good to sleep in a bunch of short bursts. I did it before with summer classes and fasting. Not fun.

Are you just not motivated to do schoolwork now that you are a senior? You seem to just procrastinate while awake. Is the material too challenging so you are avoiding it?

But first, see a doctor and get some help asap.

My school starts at 8. But because of the distance it is from my house, i have to leave the house by 7 and take the city bus, and I arrive at school around 730. Any later I will be late.
I have thought about it being senioritis, but I personally think its because of the work load. It’s relatively easy work, but it’s extremely time consuming and most of it is boring, so I guess I put it off until its too latd. I just don’t feel like doing it, not that that’s an excuse.
