Yes they are safeties considering you will pay either the whole cost of attendance or more than 90% of expenses…

Texas colleges have relatively low fees. Around 14 lakh.

Your gpa (except that English A2) and sat (nice!) are good. Did you receive any awards or honors in theater, speech and debate, etc? This might help, and really no volunteering at all? UCLA is very big on ecs, so that’s something to think about. But, how are your essays? You should definetly work on those-essays help. And, don’t forget recommendation letters!

Did you receive any awards for speech and debate or theater? that might help on the ecs… also, work on your essays and get good teacher recommendation letters!

Wait, sorry! i typed 2 replies! sorry, stupid computer… also, Public speaking not speech and debate. My bad!

Yeah, but if you are willing to go to Texas and spend 14 lacs, why don’t you consider something better than Texas in India… just apply to US, if you are in (top varsities) congrats otherwise IndiaN top Engineering colleges to hai na…
with your sort of application, don’t compromie with average institutions… u get me???

Well, I won’t be going to Texas A and M if I get into IISER or BITS.
Fair hopes for IITs or IISER. I am doing jee coaching in Vidyamandir .(Not very serious about that right now, will resume after SAT in October.)

Nah, my school didn’t give us any awards for that. It didn’t care much about ECs,but it was mentioned on our remark sheets :“Very involved in house activities. Has very good potential.”
(House was kinda like our group in the boarding school.)
I can get very good recs .Some of my teachers loved me. (Except when I skipped classes and slept.). I have also bribed a couple of them. (My mother is a Doctor and treated them for free.)

perfect then… give it a shot
