This thread was inspired by IceQube's "My Progress Thread" from December 2011.
My personal goal currently is 2250+. I have only taken a full practice SAT all the way through, once. (Plus, it was Kaplan; ew.) My score was 1940. Since then, I have taken numerous tests (over the course of a couple of days) and my scores are currently around 2000-2100.

With about 2 months to prepare, I feel like I will be able to reach my goal by working very hard. This thread will function as a daily "public diary" where I will post updates on my completed work/progress.

Feel free to join in and write your own "diary" posts as well! Hopefully we can all achieve our goals this January!

Dear Diary,
Today marks the start of my quest to conquer the foul beast infamously known as the SAT.
With the words of IceQube, JefferyJung, and other comrades burning freshly in my mind, I am ready to embark on this journey. Along the way, I hope to recruit accomplices who will provide me with aid and support.

(Flowery language aside)
Tomorrow, I hope to complete a couple of math sections from the Blue Book, as it is my weakest section currently.
In addition, I will augment my knowledge of vocabulary by reading some of Direct Hits, and various Quizlet flashcard sets.
As a final task, I want to create a personal essay template using AcademicHackerz's guide as a model.

Dear Diary,
Yesterday, I fell asleep very early after I finished my regular homework.
Today, I will make sure to do double the practice as to make up for yesterday’s blunder.
This time I will not fall victim to dreariness.

11/15 to 11/16/13
Dear Diary,
Today I took the May 2012 Saturday QAS SAT Exam (no essay)
Overall, I got a score of 2260-2280, with a 720 in CR, 760 in math, and 780 Writing (Mult. choice score).
Super surprised with this score. The math questions all seemed much easier than normal. Also, 4/6 of my critical reading errors were sentence completion. If I got all of those vocabulary questions correct, I would have had an 800!
Now I know I really have to increase my vocabulary.
However, I believe that this test was a special case, and I do not expect to do as well on the next test, but we will see.
So basically, if I got all of the vocab. right and a 10 or above essay, then my score would have been a 2360! This is surely a fluke, but it gives me hope!

Dear Diary,
I did not complete much today, as I was overwhelmed by a feeling of confidence from yesterday’s test :P. So, I basically just reviewed around 50 vocabulary terms.
Tomorrow, I will try to be more productive, and start going over the test that I took.

11/19 to 11/20/13
Dear Diary, I haven’t studied very much at all in the past couple of days.
There’s been a bunch of tests in school this week, but I will be sure to make it up during this upcoming Thanksgiving Break.

I am also joining this thread. I have got 1380 (June), 1930(October). I am working hard to get 2100+ on my next SAT (December). Hopefully, we all will achieve our desired scores and inspire others.

12/7/13
Dear Diary,
I have finally become motivated again to study.
Today I took the May 2012 Sunday SAT QAS.
And…
I scored a 780 on CR, 760 on Math, and 710 on WR (Mult. Choice Score Only)
With a 10-12 Essay, my total score would be around a 2250-2300!
Prior to this test, I didn’t study anything except a little vocab. and I missed only 2 vocabulary questions this time.
I did significantly worse on the writing portion this time around, but overall my score is at a similar range as last time!
Tomorrow, I will go over my past 2 tests, and reason through every answer choice.
The similarity in scores has lifted my spirits, and made me feel like my goal is obtainable!

Dear Diary,
I have continued to add to my vocabulary, as I seem to be able to comprehend most of the reading passages fairly easily. This week, I will also start to build my essay template which I said I would do a couple of weeks ago lol. Also, I will begin to take weekly tests, and hopefully a section a day starting tomorrow?

JAN; Most of my errors come from vocab. But for passages, I use my own version of Noitara’s guide to CR.
What I do is for short passages, I just read it through and answer the questions, usually no problem. For the long singles, I read the blurb at the top, then I look at all of the questions. For each line ref. question, I bracket the line in the passage, but I don’t write any notes in the margin because they don’t help me very much. So, when I am reading the passage, I concentrate hard, but not so hard that I over-analyze things. When I reach a bracketed line, I read the line and a little after, maybe one sentence after.

Then I turn to the question and answer it then and there. Usually if you do this strategy, then the answer becomes much more apparent than reading the passage straight through.
For main idea questions, I just answer them at the very end when I am done reading the entire passage.

Finally, for doubles, its the same process as the singles, except when I finish lets say passage 1, then I write a quick note at the top that states what viewpoint it is. So if passage 1 is criticizing computer use by teens, then at the top I would just write “Bad”.
Then if passage 2 is praising computers, then I would write “Good” at the top.
This helps for the questions where it asks you to compare the tone of the 2 passages.

Basically, I don’t spend much time writing notes in the text, I just bracket where a question is and underline any vocab. questions in the passage as well.
Hope that helps!
