Two wrong in maths still makes a 750+ -_- so whats the prob.? And y do u guys use official practice test ? They are easier than those in PR ,barrons etc… so dont u think this doesnt let u overprep ?

My plan is:

1) Take 10 more sat test with 10 sections including essay and one experimental section, cr preferable.
2) review mistakes
3) do couple extra wr sections from BB and 2005 -2008 sat tests.
4) redo 2010 -2013 sat tests, get familiar with recent tests format.
5) keep rolling vocabularies

Detail:

9.9 2012 Jan SAT with CR experimental from online course test 2

9.10 2011 Oct SAT with CR experimental from OC test 3

9.11 2011 May SAT with CR experimental from OC test 3

9.12 2011 May Sunday SAT with CR experimental from OC test 3

9.13 2011 Jan SAT with CR experimental from OC TEST 4

9.14 2010 Oct SAT with CR experimental from OC TEST 4

9.15 2010 MAY SAT with CR experimental from OC TEST 4

9.16 2010 MAY SAT Sunday with CR Experimental from OC TEST 5

9.17 2010 Jan SAT with CR experimental from OC Test 5

9.18 2009 Oct SAT with CR experimental from OC test 5

9.19 2009 May, Cr experimental from OC test 6

9.20 2009 May Sunday with CR experimental from OC test 6

From 9.21 onward, I will redo every test from 2010 - 2013, review every mistake.

I’ll use Barron 2400 as well.

My goal will be 2400 but I’ll more than happy if I can score 1600 on CR and Math. As for writing, I am not raising up my hopes.

I took 2012 May SAT today.

Went -3 on CR, 760 ( if I could get I one more right, it would be 800. I need that 800!!! )

-7 on WR worst section it was like a 650 or so.
800 math

Benjamin, wow you’re going hardcore but I don’t know if I’ll have time to do full length practice tests everyday after school. Hopefully my schedule isn’t that tight so I have time to prepare. All it is is practice and review (which takes a lot of time)

Alright so I just got home from school. Going to bang out some homework, work on a couple sections of SAT, start practicing my essay, and memorize at least 50 new vocab words today. Let’s see if I can finish it all before midnight.

By the way Benjamin, how are you able to fit a full length practice test everyday after school? And then how are you able to review your mistakes afterwards?

MedicalBoy
What I do is trying to wrap up everything else and always reserve 5 hours for the sat test.

It is hard, but definitely doable.

Hi benjamin8451,

Where did you get all those past SAT tests?
I also registered in the College Board online course, and there were only about 10 practice tests. I didn’t see any of the experimental sections in the tests nor the dates that the tests were administered.

Please advise.

Thanks
StevenToCollege

@benjamin8451 - most impressive schedule - best of luck.
Pl share the links for these past official tests.
thank you very much

Here’s a quick sentence completion:

Marine biologists consider sea otters____ eaters because otters select only two or three kinds of prey out of thirty potential food sources.

Irregular
Discriminating
Carnivorous
Hesitant
Abstemious

discriminating
You gotta know another definition of discriminating besides bias treatment

Yes I know the secondary definition but what about abstemious(spare in food or drink). I got the answer right but I was a bit confused on the question.

abstemious means restraint from eating food or drink. This is more like people say no to food in order to do something.
But here in the context, the sentence needs a word picky which shows the animal has only favor certain kind of food.

Alright thanks

What about this one?

In the past children were content to entertain themselves with kitchen pots and balls of (twine rather than high-priced electronic toys now.)

Answer : “twine; now they want high-priced electronic toys”.

Why is is not “rather than high-priced electronic toys now”?

Can’t see the picture

Another quick question.

The correct idiom is “with regard to” right?

With regard to is right.
The first one I got that wrong as well.
I think it should be rather than “with” electronic toys now.
But again I am not sure.

Googled one answer for you, this makes a whole lot of sense.
a - states that in the past children preferred twine to high-priced electronics, but high-priced electronics didn’t even exist then so its changing the meaning of the sentence
c. best answer

Yea I see it now. Its a bit tricky but expected as it is a #11 problem. I should have seen that coming.

Did an untimed test today which is bad because it’s close to the real tests but it’s difficult to get large blocks of time as opposed to many small ones. I got 4 wrong cr 1 wrong math and 7 wrong writing. I need to get less sloppy with math I am getting minor arithmetic errors. Critical reading I need to be careful with passage questions I got three passage errors. Writing was a train-wreck I got 3 out of 6 fixing paragraph questions wrong. I also got another writing error because I left a verb in infinitive form when it should have been a gerund so their wouldn’t be a comma splice. Overall a 730 critical reading a 760 math and a 660 writing a 2150 a score which is probably inflated due to no time restrictions -_- time to hit up the grammar rules
