Congrats Ice! 2300 is a solid score! Beyond solid, actually.

On another note: **** math.

^Thanks! I’m a little concerned about CR, but the 80 in writing was a nice surprise ;).

Whyyyy :(

Sent from my SGH-T959V using CC

My scores in general were all surprises. I expected a low writing score, but I received a near perfect writing score(790). My CR and Math both came out lower than I had expected. However, I’m very pleased that my superscore is finally 2350+. I still think I’ll be taking one more my senior year for another try at that 2400.

Hey, how much do colleges care if you didn’t do so hot on your first try. I got like a high 2100 and was wondering would this score bring me down if I got a 2250 or 2300+ my second time. I must admit, my nerves played a factor, and I know I can do better.

JefferyJung! I remember complaining to you about how my math would be terribly screwed up due to my carelessness.

I was right. I ended up with a 2260 (with a 720 in the math). The worst part of this feeling is that I knew I coudl have gotten an 800 had I been careful.

How do u find ur essay score???

Hey boys! I felt compelled to come post here first thing, so here I am!

680 CR (as I said this went badly)
800 M
760 W

Thanks for everything! I look forward to continuing my preparation for future sittings with ya’ll.

I didn’t do as well as I hoped.

CR: 730
People must have been right about some answers I was sure were correct.
M: 740
Man if I really thought I got only -1. This frustrates me. I’ll have a look on the 21st and might have it rescored depending in what question they say I missed.
W: 800
Finally a good score.
80 MC
10 essay

I don’t think I will take it again…2270 is high enough for most schools and for Architecture I need to focus on my portfolio. Thanks for all the help everyone.

hey iceqube

Any help on what to do to improve much more?
From your experience, haha.

Good job!

Alright I’m definitely retaking this son of a ***** test. That 720 in math isn’t going to go unchecked.

Sorry for all of these complaining/moaning posts, but this math score surprised the hell out of me.

Great job everyone, and good luck jimmypod on your second try :).

I almost want to retake the SAT, but a part of me also tells me that the SAT is over and I should simply close that chapter of my life in which all I did was worry about the SAT.

It’s hard to believe that this arduous saga of preparing for the SAT has almost come to a close - within half a year - I’ll be a senior - and it’ll be too late to retake the SAT … it just goes to show how ephemeral our lives are. I remember the day I confronted the double doors of my high school for the first time, and now I’m almost done grappling with the SAT … what’s next - college?

Nice to meet you again! 2110.
math 720
cr 720
wr 670 (8 essay)

Writing and math were a little low, but I thought I had missed up to 9-10 questions on the Reading! Maybe because I counted the answers I forgot about as “wrong” but I think CC was wrong on some of the CR questions…

By the way, GREAT job on your 2270

Hey guys! I’m back! How did everyone do on Jan SAT?

My score is not as high as I hoped…2180. Weirdly enough, this is the score I got in my dream before the real score was available. O.O And I’m totally surprised by my CR score! I could never imagine to get a 800.

CR 800
WR 680 (essay only 8…screwed on this one)
Math 700

I’ll retake in Oct. 2300+ is a must need for a homeschooler.

Hey again guys =) Must say it was an intense and intriguing journey - I think IceQube put it best! I hope to see you all around more on CC!!!

Those questions on the CR Section that had no consensus were quite disheartening, but I pulled through!

CR: 800
Math: 760
Writing: 750 (78 - 8 essay)

2310!

@ IceQube, Jeffrey Jung etc… anyone who wants to help out:

My weakest point is CR - reading has never come naturally to me… I read the New York Times and whatnot but I still feel like I’m the slowest reader on earth. How much time does it take you guys to complete a CR section?

I seem to go into a panic mode sometimes, and I often have to re-read certain sections even though I try to pump myself up for them. Should I just do more CR sections rather than full tests to target my weakness?

So you’re not retaking, IceQube? Because I got the same score and am going out for the March SAT. Was hoping I’d have a fellow masochistic friend to pursue those final hundred points on this crazy test, haha.

Anyway, great job, everyone. I’ll probably be in and out of this thread over the next three weeks as I prep for March. Fun times. I wish I could quit you, SAT…

By the way, does anyway have any thoughts on the Barron’s test book (not Barron’s 2400)? It’s likely what I’ll use over the coming weeks. Worth my time? Harder/easier than CB?

If I retake, it’s not going to be this March. I need to focus on my GPA and SAT IIs now. But good luck mstiny1212 :)!

Great job :D!

Thanks chachaseeds.

2270 is a pretty good score, now just to study for my SAT II’s and get a few art awards. Congrats on your score too.

I think so. Try finding official materials. The 10 Real SAT books are good for CR practice.

Good luck :)!

Great score :D.
