Suggestions on improving my score to a 2300. Any inspirational stories you guys would like to share?

I don't know how many questions I got wrong, but I'll find out when I get my score report on Tuesday.

Just go for it the next test.

Now that you’ve gotten past much of the essential SAT knowledge, know that there is a large psychological factor.

Just feel aggressive and ambitious when taking the test, and try to get into the SAT mindset at least a week before. Also, when there’s a great deal of luck involved with anything, try to set up rituals to counter the sense that you lack control.

I believe the SAT depends heavily on luck, especially in the <90% range of test takers, so I know which room I like at my school, and I know where I like to sit once I get there (even if I don’t get the room I like.) Although I do try to cheat the system by moving back in line.

Nothing you can really do Vocab-wise, once you memorize around 300-400.

Once a few days before the test date, all you can do is relax and power up. Don’t try to pick up new strategies, new idioms, ect. Just feel ready.

^My next test is in May. I’m gonna start studying for it again (doing practice tests). Haven’t touched anything for two weeks.

I’m just gonna do all the BB tests and all the QAS tests I have again.

Any other opinions?

Has anyone else with a 2000+ score improved to a 2300?

Tips on how to improve Reading?

Nothing special, just take and go over as many practice tests as you can.

@kamikaze: great advice. I’ll take it.

I think the most important thing (I only took the SATs in March so I can’t say for sure though) is to walk into the test and just honestly whisper to yourself: “I am going to crush this test”

When I started practicing for the SAT, my BB scores were like 1930-1960.
My parents were rushing me to take the SAT, but I took my time. I didn’t actually take it until January of my junior year. I re-did every single BB test and did the PR Hit parade. For Math I watched every single Khan Academy video. I put in a summer and then about 3 more months of work (2 hours a night).

My Jan SAT was a 2250
My March SAT was a 2340

Practice makes perfect!

My initial Math score (BB) was a 590, after khan academy, it was a 790
My CR score was a 630, and in the end it was a 750
My W score was a 690, and in the end it was a 800

Best of luck mate.
