<p>awards/achievements:
- AP scholar with distinction (average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.)
- FBLA - qualified to nationals 2X, 9th in the nation last year in my event, regional competition awards
- debate - 20+ medals, individual speaker awards, co-president, applied, accepted to, and attended prestigious summer institute, varsity letter all 4 years
- forensics - qualified to 2X nationals, qualified for state tournament, many medals
- community service - presidents award 2X (taught little kids chess, volunteered at elderly center)
- NHS/spanish NHS/business NHS member
- chinese school every sunday (3-4 hrs/week)
- although this isnt a "real" activity, this is a personal activity that i still put on my apps bc schools indicate that personal activities/interests still count: basketball (i play 3-4 times a week, easily 5+ hrs a week)</p>
<p>Asian, live in the midwest, poor family (parents separated, live w/ my mom) but i never had a job even though i wanted one bc my mom didnt want me to plus i didnt have a car</p>
<p>looking at: stanford, penn, columbia, berkeley, usc, duke, chicago, NYU. any other choices that you think would be good would be appreciated.</p>
