yeah, no news is good news. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will not hear from them. Until 12/15.

yah, the admissions office told me, after I called them about 12 times, which teachers they had

So can anyone confrim that if we DO NOT receive an email, our application is complete???

No, they didn't say that they'd say which teachers in the email. They just said something about a glitch, they've been getting a lot of calls about it, and they're sending out another email about it tomorrow. They were kind of vague about what the glitch was though.

That could be good... maybe things are not missing then? Sounds like too much stuff, and too similar of stuff is missing for it to be coincidental... I mean the USPS cant mess up that bad

Ok guys, for the record has anyone lost rec letter number 4?

I talked to a friend, and she was also missing 5. No 4's so far....

What does the Stanford records system have against prime numbers?

This is a good sign... maybe they are not lost

Of course her #5 was by the same teacher as mine..........

Hey guys, I have a similar problem, except apparently my secondary school report, form # 3, was missing. This was strange though, considering that I received a post card from the university 3 weeks ago stating they recieved the transcript and form. I called Stanford today and they said that my name could have been entered inccorectly into their data base, and hence it was reported that it did not reach. They said they would call me later today to update me on this matter, so this could have occured in some of your cases.

Its been confirmed... Stanford called me and said that the error was a database error. What a relief...

Um... my e-mail says my for 3 (the secondary school report) is missing although my guidance counselor said she mailed it like a month ago. I'm going to have to ask her to fill it out again and fax it I guess... I'm really annoyed because I worked hard to get everything in on time.

hm... I'm wondering if I should call...............they said they'd call me back thuogh so i'll wait until like 15 mins before their office closes.......

Well i called at lunch and found out what teacher rec was received and then my other teacher said he would fax it tommorow. The person on the phone told me very quickly also so i would assume its all organized...

anyone missing official SAT reports?:S
collegeboard told me that they were sent oct 31st....so i have no idea wut happened

Do you think they've started reading applications yet? Or do they take a few weeks to organize everyone's information?

yea i had the same question ...

yayy i found out which teacher and she faxed it today. =)

adimeola14: did the email say that form 3 was missing, or your high school transcript. cause my email says an high school transcript and i don't know if it is the entire form three or just the transcript.

is it just me or is stanford really cold and inconsiderate. really, they give us one shot to get the fax right or else we're screwed. and they won't confirm receipt until one week later???!!!!! that's crazy. how hard is it just to go onto the computer and look up someone?? they should hire someone esp for that job.
