^ THAT would be really terrible.

^^ The mere thought of such a scenario reduces me to tears.

My friend's mom actually sent her a mock rejection letter (from Wesleyan) and it was actually one of the funniest (and most horrible) things I have ever read this year. It sounded eerily similar to the OP's dream letter with such wonderful statements as "After reviewing your application, we are in the opinion that no institution in their right mind would ever accept you..." and "You are welcome again to apply again during the regular round when all the stressed, ivy-rejects flood our admissions office and you have an even lesser chance of getting accepted." She later got rejected today, but at least we all had a good laugh about it...

^ That's still sorta sad... :)

Aww that is sad! Haha I can't believe someone's mom would really send a fake reject-letter to her daughter!

...gives me an idea... xD

It was more of a "it's okay if you don't get in, you are still awesome to me" letter in the form of a fake rejection letter (it was hand written, too). Wes was a big reach for her. And she later decided that she pretty much wanted to go to McGill anyways.

Then that's sweet. :)
