I dont think this thread is meant to be offensive, its all in good fun. Just like how some of the threads on the parents board make fun of some kids for their immature behavior. I like what many of the parents do on this site and I think others who have criticized would agree with me.

I guess. I just feel bad that so many people greatly antagonize the parents, most of whom have only the best intentions.

"good genes theory" <--- parents think the success of their children is a reflection of themselves :-)

At least you have parents that care. Mine never gave a **** about anything.

legendofmax, I dont think thats a bad thing. I would hate invasive parents.

It is a bad thing when you need support and you don't get it. Neglect can be just as bad as getting too involved.

Most of the parents do have good intentions, but I hate it when they use the abreviations D,S,DD, or DS..that is what irritates me the most. I don't really care about them bragging about their kids, because it just shows that they are proud of them and all, but when they put down someone else's kid, because they aren't as "good" as their own kid, then that is when the problem arises. Luckily, most of the parents of CC are not like that, and are a great source of information.

Well I credit my parents for a lot of my success. They provided me with the opportunities to do well.
