So I got an e-mail saying: "This SAP Suspension is the result of your exceeding the maximum credit hours necessary to earn your degree."

I looked up my University's policy (UNF) and saw this: "Eligibility may not be re-established without an appeal when Maximum Time Frame (150% rule) standards are violated."

My University has an 'Re-establishing Eligibility Without Appeal' policy where you can end the suspension by doing good for a semester and raising your GPA. But there's nothing that can be done about my credit hours exceeding the limit.

So it looks like my only possible course of action is to submit an appeal. But here's the thing - I have no good excuse. I just didn't take college seriously. I registered and then withdrew from a lot of classes. I've failed a few as well. All of this is counted towards your maximum time frame. (I didn't even know MTF existed until I got this e-mail, but I know that's not an excuse.)

Since I have no good excuse, it's likely that if I submit an appeal, it won't get approved.

So my question is this. Am I screwed out of getting my financial aid assistance back again?

EDIT: I don't know if it's important or not but I'm on the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
