My SAT Dilemma

I'd like to ask you guys for your opinion on whether or not I should take two or three SAT subject tests. I'm going to be a senior next year and I'm planning on taking the SAT 1 october and the SAT 2s November.

I have about 2 months before the SAT 1 in October and 3 months before the SAT 2s in the November.

The SAT 2s I plan on taking in November are Math IIC and Biology (E or M not decided yet), but do you guys recommend I take a third one as well? I need to score fairly high on both those SAT 2 subject tests, but should I risk taking a third one or just focus on doing well on two?

I suppose for the third SAT 2 I would probably self study for US history, though I only took regular US.

I only took a few APs this year and my overall GPA is only a 3.8 weighted, so I think I need to do well on my SATs..

I actually think you are in trouble. If you take the SAT II in November, colleges for ED won't see them, unless you're applying to a college that doesn't require them. I would just stick with two. Even though they are only one hour each, it's hard to take three unless you have great mental stamina. I also would not risk lowering your score with an addition of a third SAT II.

Good Luck

Yeah, I was pretty panicked about taking the SAT 2s in november, but I don't plan on applying ED and I think they should arrive in time for regular applications, particularly the UCs. At least I hope, LOL.

shiomi: your sat scores (if taken in nov.) will arrive in time for UCs. The latest time to take SAT for UC deadlines is December, so you can even take your 3rd subject then.

hey sushi, I heard that it was possible to take the SAT in december, but I'd have to get it sent express right, since the UC app deadline is the 30th of november? But that gives me an idea, I might just take only 2 in november and then study for a third one just for the hell of it.
