I took the SAT in January with no prep, and got a 1690, which is terrible. I retook it with some prep this May, and was expecting at least a 2000, but these were my scores:

CR - 550
M - 580
W - 610, 8 on essay

I really need to improve that critical reading, as on long passages I tend to lose focus because of loss of interest. What are some tips for the critical reading?

My scores suck too! High five! :D
It was my first time though…And i didn’t really study…why…T.T Oh well, I’ll study really hard over the summer.
Mm…I can’t really offer advice for CR cuz my score was just mediocre. But if you go to the top of the SAT forum page, you’ll see featured threads. Click on the one that says Best of SAT Prep Forum and you’ll see a lot of threads that give advice–especially CR. Best of luck to you! :)

same… 570cr 540m 530w

Lol mine wasn’t what I was expecting either although I didn’t study. I was so close to a 2000 though -_______-.
