This is my schedule as of right now:

Math 16A TT 8-9:30am (3)
Physics for Future Presidents TT 9:30-11am (3)
NST 10 MW 2-3pm (3)
Classics R44 MW 12-2pm (5)
Poli Sci 179 W 4-5pm (1)

I am also on the waitlist for German R5a MWF 8-9am. My question is that if I am able to get into German R5a should I drop Classics R44 and have five 8am classes a week or just keep Classics R44? I heard that German R5a is usually easier whereas Classics R44 has quite a bit of work.

I think that taking 19 units your first semester is a lot (I’m assuming it’s your first year). German R5A is much easier than Classics so you should probably stick with that.

I’m going to keep only one of the English classes so if I take Classics R44, I’d drop German R5a and vice versa. If I do take German R5a instead of Classics R44, I’m just afraid of the whole five 8am classes a week problem.

Something to consider is what possible majors you are considering, and how your schedule works toward them. 14-15 units of courses that generally do not have very difficult reputations (other than the R&C course) seems like a gentle way to ease into college level work.
