<p>I've been accepted to a UC and got a great scholarship but I'm not sure if I will go or not.
what happens with my scholarship if I dont attend this year? will they give it to me next year on another UC or a CSU?

<p>Contact the school and ask about their financial aid policy for deferrals.</p>
<p>Is it a scholarship from the school? If so they won’t give it to you at a different school. Whether they will give it to you at the same school depends on the school policies and possible the particular scholarship. My daughter has a scholarship that required her to start college the fall after graduating high school or she would have lost it. Other scholarships may not have that rule.</p>

The scholarship is for Santa Cruz and if I dont attend this fall I won’t go there at all.
And yes the scholarship is like $14,000 from Santa Cruz Grant.
And Long Beach where I will apply for next year (and I was accepted this year) gave me a scholarship this year, but will they keep it until next year or I will loose everything?
I dont want to take two or three years going to CC and then transfer to Long Beach or San Diego (where I dream to go, and is my ultimate goal)anyways.
