My school doesn't have an architecture program?

My school doesn't have an architecture program, but it has a top 5 arts program. If i double majof with a science, would this qualify me to attend grad school as an architecture major? If so, which one? Or would i be better off to just transfer?

You do not need to major in architecture or architectural studies to be admitted to a master’s of architecture program. Look at a few M.Arch websites to get a better idea of their requirements. In general they are: a BA or BS in just about anything, a portfolio that demonstrates artistic ability and creativity (not necessarily in architecture), classes in studio art and art history (especially architectural). Some M.Arch programs require a class or a semester of physics and/or calculus. Some do not. Check the admissions pages.

Some things that you can do to prepare yourself for an M.Arch program are to

 1. travel, look at architecture
 2. Get a summer job or internship with an architecture firm
 3. Gain CAD proficiency
 4. Attend an admissions information session at an M.Arch program
 5. Talk to a graduate school adviser about architecture schools. Where were alums admitted?
