At my school, we don't send out weighted GPAs. Everything is unweighted, even for valedictorian (so we end up with about 20~ a year). Does this hurt me in anyway?

you could always make note of this on your application in the additional info section. Call or e-mail the colleges to see what they think.

no
colleges know your weighted and unweighted GPA’s
they recalculate
but it doesn’t matter
really competitive colleges expect you to do well in advanced courses, not in regular ones
and if you’re not trying to get into a competitive college you shouldn’t care about weight

i go to a school full of bright student’s and it doesn’t weigh gpa because the principle says AP kids are lazy and standard kids work hard

lmaooo^ lol at the principle

basically course load is just as important huh?

no
as any college admissions officer will tell you if you ask them what’s better an A in honors or B in Ap
they’ll tell you an A in AP
and that’s true because there are plenty of people with A’s in AP’s who apply
take the most demanding classes and do the best you can, and you’ll have the best shot
