My school includes ACT/SAT scores on my transcript, do I still need to pay?

Is this enough? Do I need to ask CB to send my scores?

Some schools will accept those scores on your high school transcript, so no you wouldn’t have to pay. Other schools want scores sent directly from the CB. You need to check with the individual colleges.

Bump Bump Bump!

You got the answer already–check the admissions requirements of the specific schools you are interested in. Many of them will want the official reports.

Most high schools do include your score “stickies” on your transcripts.

However, most colleges (usually the selective ones) require that they receive the official scores electronically sent by collegeboard.

so, you have to pay OR select those schools when you take the tests.

Usually the colleges that will accept scores from high schools will say so on their admissions page. But, like I said, most want the official electronic record sent (guess they either don’t trust the high schools, or they don’t want to have to manually input individual scores. The electronic file does that for them.

With the new Score Choice policy, this is an issue for kids who want to hide some scores. There is a great thread on this here on CC.
^agree that most colleges want the official report from the testing agency.
