my school's weird transcript

My school has this weird kind of transcript that lists and groups the classes its students take by subject; for example, the math classes are grouped together and the history classes are grouped in another group. I am rising GPA, so how will colleges see that?

I'm not quite sure what your question is.

Most likely the classes on your transcript will be in sequential order. Colleges will be able to see that you've taken x number of math classes, science classes, etc. I don't understand what you are referring to when you're asking how colleges will see them.

Well, normally it would list the classes by the year you took them, like this:

9th Grade:
Geometry A
English A

So forth and so on

He's worried that colleges won't see an upward trend in GPA, etc. by the way they are organized on the transcript.

Arg, I posted too slow. This comment is in regards to brightfutureahead's post.

I've got that part down, considering that's the norm on high school transcripts. I just don't understand the OP's question. I get the impression that the OP's transcript doesn't determine GPAs by year, but instead through subject.

I'm guessing the college will acknowledge your transcript and maybe reorganize the data to meet their standard.

I mean that all of classes belonging to the same subject area will be grouped together. For example, I took biology in 9th grade and chemistry in 10th grade. On my transcript, the bio and chem class will be grouped together between they are science classes.

oh, i got what you're saying
it should sitll show an upward trend though if it does class group then year. IE

Algebra 1 C+
Geometry B
Algebra II B+
Precal A
Calculus A

if you're school's transcript is weird, the colleges will probably reorganize it so they can compare you to other applicants better. don't worry about it.
