<p>Hey Everyone! This is my first post, so yeah. I was just wondering if someone could take a look at my shots of getting into UPENN. I am absolutely in love with the campus and the atmosphere. Thanks a lot! :)</p>
<p>My Info (sorry I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, I just wanted to give you as much info as possible..:))
~I'm a junior right now.
~I go to a prestigious private school in Michigan on a partial need-based scholarship.
~Race~ Indian ~Religion~ Hindu
~GPA~ (A=4.00, honors get a .5 boost, AP get a 1.00 boost) 4.25, my school doesn't rank its students
~Awards~
*Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honors Society) Member
*Nation Latin Award: Silver('08) and Gold('09)
*Strickland Creative Writing Award('09)
*McGaul Fund Recipient (Covers 50% of my yearly tuition at my school)
~AP's~ (I also have a whole bunch of honors classes not going to list them though)
*Soph. Year: AP Calculus AB (4 on exam) and AP Computer Science (No Exam Taken)
*Junior Year: AP Calculus BC, AP Chem, AP Latin:Vergil, and AP English
~Not gonna lie, I LOVE community service and helping others. It is my passion and a lot of my EC's are based on that.
~Extracurriculars~
*Cabinet(largest club at my school, and oldest): 2 year member (9/10), president(11/12)
*International Affairs Coalition (partial founder): VP(10), President (11/12)
*Varsity Field Hockey: made it in 10, MIP (11), Captain(12)
*I tutor underprivileged children at a Hispanic Outreach Center, these kids are my life..i love them
*Generation of Promise: A leadership program for diverse and driven juniors in the Detroit area.
*I volunteer with the Karmanos Cancer Institute Hospice, where I help patients and document their stories so they can be passed down
~My Summers~
*I volunteer at a Hispanic Outreach Prevention Camp in a rougher part of our town..Some of the kids are the ones I tutor during the school year..like I said, I love them :)
~Jobs~
*I work at the Kumon Math and reading Center as a tutor over summers
*I am also a private tutor</p>
