my situation

I'm a current sophomore at a school where essentially there are almost no on-campus housing opportunities for upperclassmen. Currently I don't have anyone with whom I can share an apartment - most of my friends have already paired up with each other to get a 2-bedroom one. I don't want to get a single; it's more expensive / person, and I would seem alienated from the rest of the community. I thought about asking friends I hadn't seen for awhile, but I assume they already have plans. Any suggestions for what I should do? I don't have too many close friends here, but I don't really want to be alone...

Thanks.

Try craigslist, local newspapers or apartment listings to find people looking for apartments. I had to do that for a little while when I was subletting for 9 months after graduation while finishing up work with one of my professors.

Don't assume anything -- ask them, and ask friends of friends; somebody is looking for you!
