My situation

Okay, so in Sophomore year, I took SAT II Bio expecting to do well, but I placed 690, a bad score. I planned to retake it this year, but I haven't had time to study for it because I had other exams. I have heard that no tests can be taken September and the last date before ED is October.

Unfortunately, I have to retake my SAT I's in October, so I'm looking for June for my Subject Tests. I'm interested in taking SAT II Chemistry in June as studying for the AP exams should help me in SAT II. I'm also interested in taking Math II C, which my Pre-Calculus course should assist me in doing well. However, I am unsure whether I should retake Bio. I am definitely aiming to apply to an Ivy-League school, which I have heard requires 3 subject tests. Should I retake Bio? Is is worth the risk? Can I study for the 3 within a month?

Well bio is one of the harder ones. It would be hard. Maybe you should try US history? It is one of the easier ones.

colleges like to see a variety of subject teset scores. having two sciences, while not hurting you, won’t really help you THAT much. my sister goes to cornell and she only took 1 science subject test (chem) and got a 670. she also got 760 in math 1 and math 2, and low 600s for history. a 690 isn’t necessarily a bad score, but i think doing well in math is more important. history is also pretty easy if you’ve taken the ap test (in fact, it’s a joke).

Hmm, okay, I guess variety doesn’t hurt. However, wouldn’t I have to take two sciences since I’m aiming to be a Pre-med major in college?

Don’t worry about having 2 sciences. Just take in how much you can study within this month. Bio is hard.
