My Spring 2012 transfer chances?

I'm applying to U of I for the spring 2012 semester from community college and will be majoring in mathematics. I currently have a 3.639 gpa and completed calc 1 and calc 2 with A's. I'm currently taking calc 3 and linear algebra. I'm a member of phi theta kappa, have worked at my town's local grocery store for 4 years and am currently a peer tutor in math at my community college. I was also active in my sister's math club at a near by college.(my college doesn't have a math club)

What are my chances?? thanks!

bump, thanks!

you look fine. shouldn’t be a problem as long as you meet the requirements

good chance in my opinion

If you have 30 transferable semester hours completed prior to your application for transfer, only your college record will be used to evaluate you. If you don’t, your ACT(or SAT) scores and your HS GPA/Rank and Course Rigor will be heavily considered, and whether or not you’re admitted as a transfer will depend on whether your HS record would have been strong enough to have gotten you admitted as a freshman.

So if you have 28 credits and did very well that first year in college, you will still be evaluated using freshman standards and a test that was taken 3 yrs prior to your enrollment? The college grades count for nothing even if you’re 2 credits shy of 30 credits?

They do see your college grades, but it isn’t enough to evaluate someone as a whole, so they take consideration of your high school record.

I have at least 60 transferable credits, so I definitely don’t have to worry about the high school thing… although it was required to send my high school transcript, they said it was only to verify that I graduated high school and that I won’t be evaluated on my grades.(which aren’t bad…it’s just that my college grades are better)
