I'm a junior at Stuyvesant High School (top publicly-funded high school in the nation) in New York City, NY. Right now, I'm looking at a 92.1 percent average. However, considering the institution at which I study, every class here is honors equivalent somewhere else, and most of the classes are taught on a college basis, regardless of AP label or not. My extracurriculars are decent, I'm a member of several school clubs, publications and whatnot (Cure the Kids, Red Cross, Digital Photography, secretary and president of Muslim Students Association, SPARK, etc.) I have taken 5 biology elective courses which were mostly college level intro courses. A benefit I have is having taken two languages in high school, one to Regents level (Spanish) and the latter as an intro college course (Arabic). My dream school is Harvard, but I know many exceptions to the Harvard rule: some kids with meager averages and decent ec's get in, while valedictorian varsity crown champs get rejected.

What are my chances at Harvard? At my school (and I've been told and reassured this), NYU is a safety, and I'm also looking at Cornell, Columbia and Penn State. If Harvard is too unrealistic, I will early decision Dartmouth.
