wait you mean last week of february or first week in march right? cause all decisions are supposed to be made my March 1st.

and i actually disagree with you, i think they will be scattered. a big group of people will find out one day and then a big group of people a few weeks later. although it’s pure speculation at this point.

I just received my acceptance letter from UT Austin in the mail today for the Cockrell School of Engineering. So all the status changes must be because decisions are being made!!

@birdy8
HUGE CONGRATS!!
So did your MY STATUS page toggle back and forth? (ie; from IN REVIEW to COMPLETE etc.) in the last couple of days?

Did your MY STATUS page update to reflect acceptance already?
What does it read currently?

Can you please post your stats for us?
Class Rank
GPA (Weighted and Unweighted)
SAT (Math; Critical Reading, Writing)
Are you in state or out of state?
When did you submit your application?
Please post details…we’re dying to know.

When I first applied back in October, my mystatus page first said “your application for admission is complete” and a few weeks later it changed to “your application for admission is in review”. It’s been like that ever since. I am not an auto admit so I’m hoping like crazy for some good news soon!

@osserpusser
Auto-admit is a Texas Law that says if you are ranked in the top 10% of your class
(8% for the UT) you are guaranteed admission to any Texas public university.
(Doesn’t guarantee the major of your choice but does guarantee admission).

Question: Did your friends’ statuses stay “COMPLETE” once they changed to COMPLETE?
(ie; they didn’t toggle back and forth between IN REVIEW and COMPLETE)
Please give us as much detail as you know. Thanks for your response.

FYI:
Url used to be this:
utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/adm/mystatus/admission/01/
Now it is this:
utdirect.utexas.edu/apps/adm/mystatus/admission/02/

CLARIFICATION:
We don’t know if it means anything at all.
Just an observation someone made. (See post by "liveandlearn)
Not trying to freak anyone out.
Time will tell!

PetroEng6- I applied by the December 1st scholarship deadline, but I didn’t check my status page very much because I wasn’t expecting a decision so soon, so I don’t know if the admission status changed, sorry.
I was surprised when I got the letter so early and neither of my two other friends who applied have heard anything.
I am out-of-state, National Merit, weighted GPA 4.67 (as of end of year last year), SAT math 800, critical reading and writing 750.
I know close to nothing about Texas but my two friends raved about it and it sounded like a great school so I applied. Is Texas cool haha?

Sorry @petroEng6. I asked and They didn’t watch their status closely. They both said it was complete at one time, in review later, and now says complete again. The timing they didn’t watch to correlate with their letters. Now I’m freaking out because I don’t have a letter yet but they do. Different school but same city.
