I'm an auto admit applying to McCombs and my status has always said complete/on time but I'm hearing that some people's statuses say "in review" or something similar to that. Is this a bad sign?

I’m curious too. Does it go from Complete/On Time to In Review or the other way around?

Mine went complete on time to in review in mid November for mccoombs. It still says complete on time but under status it says in review. Business is still listed as my major. Some people have had their majors to their 2nd choice presumably reflecting they did not get into their first choice .

Classof14 when did you apply?

Status still says Complete/On Time. The heading at the top says “Your application for admission is in review”.

It has said that since August when the application was submitted.

I applied in October

same here i applied in october… and mine still says in review. I’m not sure of the situation because there are a lot of kids who are ranked under me and have sat scores that are a lot lower than me that have gotten into the mccombs school and engineering school. (my first and second choices respectively)

Anyone have their second major choice just now show up? @Shiloh77 did that happen to you or just people you know? My second major choice is now listed. Guessing that’s not a good sign. Anyone else?

@classof14hs If you are an auto admit you should have heard by that you are admitted to the University but that doesn’t mean you have been admitted to McCombs. That’s fairly common. If you have not heard about being admitted to UT I would check with them. Something is wrong.

Texasborn. I read that on some other threads on here. I believe it was someone trying to get into engineering and their school changed to their second choice. Someone explained that they were not accepted to cockrell but they might still be accepted to ut. So it was on a cc thread.

Thanks! Do most applicants status show first AND second major choices? Love any feedback.

texasborn; My status showed both my first and second major choices until I got into my first.

thanks @kit890! only my first was showing up until this week. Now both. I thought maybe I hadn’t been admitted to my first and was being considered for my second. Glad to hear that’s probably not the case!
