My student forgot to update her (ED) November score, is it too late to send it?

she will update her score, first, by faxing the unofficial score (some schools consider it as long as it is assured that the official score comes in shortly) and by having the collegeboard send the official score (by rush) to the adcom.

But the timing is bad.

I know that some schools do wait for students to update their November score, all the way up to Nov 20th, but now it is way past that period.

Can anyone verify this?

thanks

I think it is too late. My regional rep told me Penn begins reviewing applications right around this time (right near/after Thanksgiving) and that they can’t accept more items/updates.

hardworking21: thanks for your reply! bummer!

I’d recommend that she also send an email regarding the score (explaining that she’s placed an order with College Board for a rush score report) to her regional admissions officer:

[Penn Admissions: Regional Admissions Officers](http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/current/regional.php)

It might not be too late for it to be considered.

I agree with 45 Percenter. It can’t hurt to try.

That is true. I should be less negative. Give it a try, but the odds aren’t in your favor. Sorry! :/

This happened to me for Stanford (I sent my SAT scores, but not my ACT). I had my counselor call in, and they let me fax an unofficial score report. This was about a week ago.

Best of luck!

thanks guys for your words of encouragement! I will have her immediately call the admission office first thing on Monday morning

@BruinLifer: Just a heads up—the number listed is the office of admissions #, not the specific regional director’s one. You’ll probably have to politely ask to be transferred to him/her. Just a heads up so that way you aren’t blindsided when calling in. :)
