Boston College. It's Catholic.

::sigh:: I really don't think this thread should have been reopened, but since it was...I know a lot of the gay people at Pton (and straight ones as well, for that matter), don't indicate what sex person they're looking for on their facebook account. And considering that while some people might be out at school, but not w/ friends back home and therefore don't want everyone knowing, or at least not finding out through facebook, I think it's less a reflection of Pton being unaccepting and more about people at Pton trying to keep their own business to themselves.

Recently, there was a move by the Princeton Justice Project, a liberal political action group, to persuade the USG to sign an amicus brief in favor of the plaintiffs in Lewis v. Harris, a gay marriage case in New Jersey. After a heated debate about the role of the student government, the USG put the vote to a school-wide referendum. Although the referendum passed by an extremely narrow margin, three quarters of the student body responded "yes" to the broader question of "Should consenting adults in the state of New Jersey have the right to marry without regard to gender?"

I think this suggests that while Princeton may not be as liberal as most other Ivies, it is hardly a hotbed of conservative sentiment. Clearly, on the issue of gay marriage, the student body is considerably more liberal than the nation as a whole. Additionally, coming from a liberal town in north central NJ, while I have met a lot of people who are more conservative than those I knew in high school, I have found that even political conservatives are generally respectful of other people's lifestyles, the staff of the Princeton Tory notwithstanding.

I didn't think that it was possible to do such a search of any university but your own on the facebook. How is it done?

Boston College

if you think gays hould avoid princeton...think about how they should avoid rice...hmm..southern baptists?..lol...

Wow, he does have alot of time on his hands.

The study is somewhat interesting, but I still applied.

sorry that I randomly said "Boston College" a few posts ago... I didn't see that the thread had a second page haha

THE REASON princeton is not in the running with gays is because Princeton is not a place for gays to hang out. iTs a real family town and straight community

Not too shocking, Princeton is far more Conservative.
