SAT studying will be my main focus (ANY Tips @IceQube??)

1) Obtain 100 volunteer hours over the summer.(I have 28 so far)
2) Learn how to drive so I can get my license this upcoming semester.
3) Decide what classes I’m going to take next semester.
4) Lose 10-15 pounds. (Currently 5’5 and 140, I’m a healthy weight but I want thinner thighs and a flatter stomach)
5) Get my cross country 5k time down.
6) Study for the SAT and obtain around 1800’s on practice tests after the summer and a 2050 on the OCT SAT.
7) Study for the SAT everyday.
8) Read 6 books.
9) Decide what AP exams I’m going to take next year.
10) Run a mile in 7:30.(Yes i now that’s not good but I’m slow lol)

1.) Get 100 Service Hours
2.) Self-Study for World History SAT 2 and get 750+ in October
3.) Finish Bach’s First Symphony Solo on Cello
4.) Cut my mile time down to 5:50
5.) Get my permit

Progress:

1) I took a practice SAT yesterday. I hadn’t looked at vocab, nor had I gone over grammar/math rules in months. Scores were a bit lower than I’d hoped for, but nothing terrible. A few math lessons and some more vocab cram and I’ll be able to hit ~225 to qualify for NM this October.
2) 1/27 math chapters done. Woo.
3) Read more of Catcher in the Rye
4) Going to read more of Cal’s book once I finish a 2nd math section

Non-Academics

1) I’ve seen a different friend every day since school ended; I actually went to a party on Friday. Haven’t been the one to initiate anything with anyone, and school ended on Tuesday :P.

1) work on college essays/supplements, make sure my teachers are writing my recs
2) forget about my crappy sat 2 scores
3) stay off CC
4) have my definite list of colleges I’m applying to
5) get in insane shape for XC/track; 3-8 miles daily, some 5k races, rock hard core
6) do some yoga because my flexibility is a joke
7) read all my books for APUSH and Lit, along with my work for AP Calc
8) Read some Howard Zinn in prep for APUSH
9) read about 20 novels (already read 3)
10) catch up on some TV shows (this is VITAL); Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Avatar, Archer, Justified, Downton Abbey
11) be happy and reload so that I can deal with the tribulations of the upcoming year

@MathGuy777: WOW!! You’re doing a lot! Are you a class of 16’ner (sorry, I don’t remember all the people on that thread)? If you are, I think it’s really cool how you’re allowed to take AP Biology as a freshman!!:D

Yeah, I do get volunteering hours for the news translating, haha. I imagine I’ll amass quite a bit from just this activity alone by senior year. :P

@lldm21:

I would advise against it unless you have really good self-control; Neopets time has been eating into everything else, which is becoming a really big problem Q__Q;;

@IceQube I don’t know where to start studying. My math is the lowest and needs the most TLC. My writing and essay is also pretty low. My reading is decent but still needs improvement.

@ dree124: Assuming that’s pounds? Would probably snap my back if I attempted that in kilos lol. Don’t think my hips were back enough before when Dl’ing so I worked on form yesterday and everything felt smooth.

Did 235 x 5 for DL, and Press (80 x 5) - I pretty much lack an upper body atm so I need to make some gains.

Anyway, my 1st weekend of summer: went to a couple nerd tournaments (don’t even ask…), hit the gym, didn’t do anything academically related . Have summer HW so need to get on that soon.

@Ripe: It pretty much controlled my life from ages 8-~13. Then the website changed too drastically, and all of my friends got married/went away to college/et cetera. Plus, the Avatar Chat changed completely, and wow I sound really nerdy right now. Anyway, I don’t really like it much anymore; I just go on to blow off steam. Username is lldm2 :P

1.) finish 2 AP classes by the end of this month. Im 1 day ahead of schedule.
2.) Study hard for either the SAT or the ACT. I want to focus really hard on either one. If I do decide to take the SAT, Im shooting for a 2200 or higher and on the ACT a 34 or higher.
3.) Volunteer 2 times a week (8 hours)
4.) Summer assignments for 4 classes
5.) study for math 2 subject test
6.) Get my licence next month.
7.) max 200 (bench)
