my super-complicated status

I am currently enrolled in a fairly prestigious university. instead of applying transfer application, i want to apply freshman instead. the problem is there is a common application column called current courses. So should i put the current courses in this column.
BTW i am an international student and many universities do not grant financial aid. there are primarily two reasons drives me out of: one, i need financial aid; second, i am not quite happy here.
and i am not sure if i still can apply freshman when i am currently enrolled in another university.

your status is not complicated at all. 1. You can’t apply as freshman. 2. Apply as transfer 3. You try to do the best with what you got.

thanks shuaishuaishuai,
could u give me a link to the eligibility for applying as freshman?

Schools have all different policies. For some you’re a transfer if you take a college course or two after high school, for others if you don’t complete a term you could apply as a freshmen. You have to check each school individually.

Your biggest issue will probably be getting aid as an international transfer. That will be tough. If you are already at a top school and have good grades, focus on the few schools that are need blind for internationals.

here you go

[TCU Admission | Learning to change the world](http://www.admissions.tcu.edu/transfer/Application_FAQ_text.asp)

this is pretty standard stuff.

I’m guessing your next question might be … well what if I just pretended I didn’t go to college and made up a story for what I have been doing and just applied as a freshman? The answer is … perhaps nothing other than an ethical one or perhaps the new college links data with your old college and your bogus application is rejected out of hand.

to ctynkee,
you misunderstood my meaning. im going to include my college experience (including three research experience) in my application and resume. and my current college is pretty prestigious too.

The info you gave is kind of vague. So what year are you in? I’m assuming you want to go to Wharton. What country are you from, Canada or Mexico?

well, anyway, good luck. Hopefully you get in where you want to go.
