I just have to say that I am watching this show and I want to kill myself. This life is not worth living with people in the world like that.

Are you watching it right now? I am and I have to say that everyone of those people are spoiled brats with no brain cells at all.

I love that show. It's hilarious.

Is this a cable or free broadcast show? It seems like it is bad either way and is of no interest to a male.

It's on MTV and mostly features girls.

lablondie, you sicken me

hahah i'm watching that show right now. its kind of sad, but i actually enjoy watching that show because its ridiculously funny how selfish, stuck up, and bratty those kids are. and the worst part is that most of them think they deserve to have a sweet 16 equivalent to that of their to-be wedding.

Yet another good reason why I don't have cable; at least the Amazing Race on free broadcast is relatively good compared to most cable programming. The only channel I would want is ESPN for its football coverage.

I sicken you? Come on! Those kids are so over-the-top. It's great!

my guilty pleasure :x

It is like a guilty pleasure, isn't it?

Wow, you all are taking this too far! It's just a show about birthday parties. And you know if your parents let you throw a big party like that you would.

what i understand from this thread is:

they're doing just what they intend. you say you hate the people, but you're still watching the show, and talkign about it, and getting all worked up about how "stuck up" these people are made out to be.
the parents don't put on the party, MTV does. The girls are *****y because the producers tell them to, so that it will make better TV i know somebody who was at one of these.

And it works, because you people get so interested in it. You say you hate it, but you obviously have all watched it. That's just what they want. You still see the ads.

And you don't even realize it! you think you're better than MTV because you see how stupid the premise is, and you're so caught up in this sucess that you don't realize. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE STUPID! THAT'S WHY PEOPLE, LIKE YOU, WATCH IT. It's not aimed at people who think it's actually a great show, because it's not a great show, and these people don't exist. it's aimed at people who think they're better than the people who think it's a great show.
They're getting you to watch it, and the worst part is you don't even realize it.

MTV: 1 You all: 0

Hmm. Interesting point. I always thought it was more or so aimed at making fun of the rich kids, instead of getting everyone else worked up about how they act. I mean, of course your supposed to get kind of annoyed by them, but MTV really is showing how stupid they can be.

That Bjorn kid is hilarious.

He is. I was cracking up watching him and his models get worked up over nothing.

Was he on recently? I haven't seen the show since Thanksgiving. My cousins and I were all watching it, and laughing about how pathetic it was that pretty much the only thing we had in common was that we all thought the show was hysterical.

It was on just today. MTV is putting a marathon.

Gleech, the parents pay for it, not the network. But, you're somewhat correct at how the producers tell the kids to be *****y. A lot of it, though, is their own will.

but, really, would you watch it if they were normal kids? hell no. how boring would that be. i watch it sometimes when doing homework... it inspires me. :p

Normal kids dont have parties like that. Normal kids dont grow up in places like that. But yes, I agree with the blonde chick, this show is funny.
