I went to Union this weekend and I loved it. Here's my two cents: The town isn't too great and sketchy late at night, but the campus is relatively isolated and definitely safe. (I saw security cars everywhere). The campus itself is beautiful and exactly what I pictured a campus to look like. The buildings are all clean and have their own style to them. What I liked most about Union was the people and the community as a whole. I was able to meet a lot of people and nobody had a single complaint. Everyone seemed to get along and some students even approached me and asked me how everything was going. The college could be classified as a "party school", especially when compared to its neighboring college of RPI. I was able to attend a frat party and had a great time. However, what I found reassuring was that parties are not the only thing to do at Union, and, for people like me who plan not to drink, there is absolutely no pressure to drink. Everyone respects each other and their beliefs.

I was a little nervous when I went to visit Union because I was unsure of its quality of life. After visiting, I'm so glad I'll be going to Union next year. The dorms are nothing spectacular, but more importantly, they are clean, safe, and relatively big. Classes are small and the professors are extremely friendly. (One of the chem professors even came up to me and started talking to me about next year)

I was also able to meet some people in the LIM program, which is the program I'm in. Basically, I'm really excited about next year and I know I'll be making many connections with amazing people.
