my theory about the top three UCs

kultur wolf, i can understand what you are saying. however, i am not degrading anyone. In fact, cal was my dream school. I'd never dreamed that I'd make it into stanford, because my family isn't that rich and would need a lot of financial aid (efc of 0). even after i got into stanford i was considering berkeley because i felt stanford was too "fake." I wanted the more realistic and gritty experience berkeley would offer me, but parental pressure forced me to SIR to stanford. I'm not labelling those students as "stupid" or "lazy."

I might not have stated this in the best way, but what i was just trying to get across was something i noticed. Call it a pattern if you will. from my school, most of the hardworking but not necessarily smart people went to Cal while most of the smart but lazy people went to ucsd. i just posted it to see what other people thought, and if they had similar experiences. thats all.

do you have a 'theory' about stanford students? are they smart and hardworking? is this a joke? surely a smart and hardworking stanford student like yourself would provide better evidence for the 'theories'. basing it off of 'oooooooo my friends are bleh bleh bleh' is pretty biased. seriously what was the point of this thread? maybe you should think about writing your senior year thesis on the three top ucs.
