My top three

I'm currently ending my junior year of high school. I have about a 3.4 gpa and i'd say i have a fairly tough schedule. took APUSH, honors pre calc, and honors chem to give examples. next year some of my tough classes include ap calc, ap stats, and physics. i currently plan on majoring in aerospace engineering when i go to college. Currently my top three schools are

Purdue

OSU

Cincinnati

Do these seem like good choices? I'm not really sure if I would want to go to a high-profile school such as MIT or an ivy league school. I'm thinking I would prefer public. How much of a chance would I probably have of getting into any of these schools and getting money to go there (especially Purdue). Also, what other good engineering colleges are there in and around Ohio?

By the way, I took my SAT last saturday and am taking my ACT this saturday so obviously i dont have any test scores yet

Those are all good choices for aero. Without your SAT/ACT it’s tough to forecast whether you’ll be accepted. Wright State and U Dayton are also good for aero (near Wright-Patterson AFB so opportunities to intern there).

Disclaimer: I am an alumni of UC. Having said that, Cincinnati has a terrific Aerospace Engineering program. I can’t compare it to OSU or Purdue since I don’t know about their programs.
