My transcript is completely wrong!!!

I am going into sophomore year and am switching from traditional private school to online school due to athletics. I received my transcript today to see that my history class was completely wrong and not recorded as honors, my hon bio class was now regular and almost every single grade is wrong. I had a 3.8 GPA last year when i finished and now have a 3.1 according to this incorrect transcript. I am SO UPSET. I am headed to the school tomorrow to try and sort this out but if they say that the transcript isn’t wrong i have no way to prove this. I could contact my old teachers but would they testify against the school they work for? My college is depending on a scholarship and this could completely ruin my future. I also worked VERY HARD and for example am taking APUSH this year which you needed to qualify for and be in honors, yet my transcript says i took a completely different class that wasn’t honors and that i only got Bs. No idea what to do at this point

Did you get report cards along the way, either online or a hard copy? What do you mean you have no way to prove that you took honors biology, etc? Won’t your teacher have a record of you being in the honors class? Hopefully you will get this sorted out. Find any documentation you received about your schedule and your grades and bring it to the school.

There is an old saying: Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence, because there is so much incompetence to be found.

This sounds like an honest mistake. Calm down. Remain calm and polite at all times when discussing it. The school will want to get this right, and has no reason to not want to fix it. However, it might take time to fix it.

Do you still have a copy of your grade report that they gave you when you were a student at the school?

If you are switching to homeschooling, you have to have a parent involved. Now would be a good time to get that parent involved to get the records straightened out.

It sounds like the sent the wrong transcript. Get your parents involved, make some calls, follow up with emails, and keep all parties in the loop. You’ll be fine.

I hope that the OP returns. Curious to see if this was merely a mistake due to incompetence or something else.

A few years ago transcript delay, manipulation & errors was commonplace from certain low ranked law schools which didn’t want to lose students who tried to transfer out.
