My transcript is weird?

Hi! I’m new to CC. I received my transcript from my high school just today and my mom asked me how did I got such high grades in homeschool.

I have A- (90 - in math) to perfect A (100 - in computer since my home school skipped it). I did every rigorous necessary activities to help me get through homeschool (free online courses, paid online courses). i don’t have 89 and lower grades and I wanted to know if that’s weird?
I’m scared that when i apply for universities , they would take second thoughts about it.

I’m homeschooled, and take some classes at home and outsource others. As a rising senior, I have a 4.0 GPA. I’ve never gotten below an A and I use rigorous curriculum. It’s not something to be worried about, as long as your standardized test scores back up your GPA. Colleges will look at the entirety of your transcript.

@beliebingxx I cannot relate to posts like yours. I am never curious about my kids’ grades or courses bc we homeschool. I am the teacher, the principal, the guidance counselor. I am in charge of selecting the courses they take and in creating their transcripts. Our home is their high school.

I am befuddled by how a “homeschool” can skip a course but still give a grade?

Are you homeschooling in the US? (Your writing does not sound like English is your first language.)

Who is writing your school profile and your guidance counselor recommendation?

Fwiw, your grades carry less weight as a homeschooler. Your courses, test scores, and awards are going to be a far bigger factor. You should plan on the SAT/ACT, a couple of subject test scores, etc. Your outside validation of your accomplishments should verify what is on your transcript.

My middle dd had a perfect transcript, but she had test scores and grades from dual enrollment to back up those grades. In fact, she has now graduated with her BS and still has never made a score lower than A-.

I’m really confused about getting a 100 in a course that you didn’t take though. Why would a class that you didn’t take get listed on your transcript?
