Hi! I'm a Junior right now and it would be great if you guys can chance me!

GPA: 93.16 weighted (I guess about a 3.73?)
91.7 unweighted
SAT: 1120/1600 (490v, 630m)
1750/2400 (630w, 10 on essay)

EC:
- Yearbook Committee (9th)
- Key Club (11th-present)
- Ellipsis Club (11th-present)
- Volunteer at hospital (expect to have 150+ hrs by Sept.)

I know my SAT is really bad, especially for the CR section, but I'm going to retake in May, so I'm expecting an improvement. I am also going to take the ACT, since vocabs are my weakness and the ACT doesn't test that, so I think I'll score higher on that hopefully. I'm going to take SATIIs for Math1(expecting middle-high 600?) and probably Chinese(expecting 700ish) later in the year.

Thanks guys! Feel free to suggest some colleges as well! =D

My son's GPA was lower at 89 and he had a 1250 out of 1600...and was rejected. The 93 GPA you have is great...I think the SAT needs to come up to at least a 1250. There are plenty of SAT courses out there that can almost guarantee a nice point jump if you study and do the course material.

I just got my May scores back, and if you count all highest section, I have: CR: 550, M: 630 and W: 630. 1180/1600 and 1810/2400. Will that make a difference to my previously score? I think I should retake it in October and go to SAT prep in the summer.

If I really go in as Undecided, and I don't get into the business school, does that mean that I can't do Accounting as a major? Or you can choose any major you want as long as you're in the school in general?

I'm pretty sure you can only do accounting at SOM and will not be able to be an accounting major at Harpur. It's also near impossible to transfer into the SOM.

i3asketballboy you nailed it... that's all correct

bbyy the school of management is dreadfully hard to get into... I don't think that you should apply there. Not to discourage you but it's crazy hard. You might get it, but an acceptance at Harpur would be more expected.

Thanks for the replies! They are very informative =)

I was wondering, when you actually apply to Binghamton, can you apply to both Harpur and SOM or only one?
I looked at the SUNY application and only the actual SUNY universities/colleges are listed, but not the schools (ie. Harpur, SOM) in them. So how does that work?
