Alright guys, it's my turn to be critiqued.

I'm an Iranian-American with dual citizenship from suburban Chicago.

ACT:26
SAT: 1870
GPA: 3.4

Lots of community service hours, several leadership positions, 2 varsity sports, great teacher recommendations, hopefully good essays, diversity, and rigorous high school coursework (including a French course at a local university)

And I bought a GU shirt when I visited!

I suppose that my biggest fear are the grades, although I hope my extracurriculars and service help...

I think Georgetown would be a reach; your grades aren’t particularly great, SAT/ACT scores are below middle 50%… and you also need SAT subject tests.

^ditto… Don’t apply EA and start studying for your SAT subject tests and register NOW!

Teacher recommendations will only tip the scale if all your test scores and grades are as high as the typical applicant (which they aren’t, unfortunately)

if its the middle 50% isn’t 25% of the students there under that? as far as subject tests im taking us hist, bio, and french w/ listening. i got a 720 on my practice french test…sorry i forgot to mention that, and why not apply EA? wont i just be deferred?

They turn down plenty of kids who scored above their 75th percentile and above… I would not find comfort in being on par with the bottom quarter.

I would expect those that had weak test scores had something else to make up for it. I think you’d have a better chance if you studied really hard to push your grades up a little.
