My turn!

I love these threads. It's the perfect way to kill my self esteem.

Here's my stuff: I posted it elsewhere on CC, but that's okay becuase it looks EXACTLY like everyone else's.

Asian-American female from Temecula, California (I know that'll hurt me)

SATs: 720 Math, 800 Verbal, 750 Writing
SATIIs: 780 MathII, 780 Lit, 770 Biology, 690 German (okay, so maybe I wasn't the greatest in languages anyway)

Next year I'm talking AP Gov., AP Econ, AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP English Lit, and AP German4. I shall die.

OK, now let's hear how I need to pull my SATs up, my community service is pale, my honors are woefully lacking....Ha! Read your minds. I dare you to say that now. But it's okay because the Navy's after my blood anyhow...never even HINT that you want to enlist. You won't have a moment's peace.

Right, and I'm applying SCEA to Yale, RD for Harvard, IU Bloomington, Duke, JHU, Princeton, UCSD and UCI (total safeties), Amherst and Colgate. And I know they're incongruous. I'll work on that.

Oh, and I got 5s on AP Euro, U.S., Calc AB, Bio, and English Language. Yippee.

beautiful, i looove your stats, (wo)man you will go faar.
congrats damn high achieving clone.

and realize i meant nothing by it, so please, don't tell my mommy that i'm still here, though i m completely done with college admissions. :D

ummm, ur SATs look all fine to me
in fact, everything stat wise looks fine for all ur possible schools.
But I'd agree that you need more community service. just don't overkill yourself this year.

Awesome stats..I think you have a good chance at all the top knotch schools!

Why tie your self esteem to this? I can't believe all the bitterness. I have higher stats and don't think I have a hope in h**l at HYP. So if we want to apply, we apply. Otherwise there's lots of great schools we can go to. But to get depressed because you probably won't go to one of the top 5 ranked colleges is just stupid.

I'm sorry if I sound biting and bitter. I'm usually nice (I think), I'm just a self-doubting, confused teenager (and I do have issues with depression that have nothing to do with college; but that isn't a 'pity me' comment! I'm just explaining my mental chemistry). And if I'm not going to get in, then I should nix half my schools and put smaller ones on the list. I just need to do more research.

Nah, I take that back. I like my schools. It's either Yale or IUB for me, and UCSD is really nice too. I dislike days like this where the scores look too low no matter what they are. I personally think a lowest submitted 720 is just fine. So why am I here? Just for my two cent's worth, I guess.

Instead of posting, I should be writing my essays. Yes, that would be a good idea.

Thanks everyone!

Look at Frosty go.

tkm256:

UCSD: Safe Match
UCI: Safety

I feel bad about bumping, it's so self-serving, but here I go.

I revised my list. I'm applying to:

Yale
Dartmouth
Amherst
Colgate
Duke
Stanford/Swarthmore, not sure yet
UC San Diego, Berkeley, Irvine
IU Bloomington

Is that more realistic?

perfect score, only produce your essay ,I think your can get into Yale SCEA.GOOD LUCK

I think you've got a good shot at Yale, why not applying to Harvard? I'd definitely go with Stanford over Swarthmore :P

IU won't be a challenge for your (I'm from Indy :P)

Your EC's look pretty good. What classes have you taken? Are they at the top of your school's curriculum?

Focus on those admission essays!
