My two main gripes about UT

1) Class sizes -- this is true for any school over 30,000 students, though

2) Not enough majors that allow specialization -- this is why A&M is still neck and neck with UT; A&M has a lot more majors that are excellent.

1) A&M is not "neck and neck" with UT.
2) UT students seldom feel the need to compare themselves to A&M students. I wonder why?

And now that I know you go to A&M, it all makes sense. ;)

sigh, aggies always trying to prove themselves

Whoa, did UT lower their admission standards since I graduated from there? The replies to my original post do not reflect very much intelligence.

I didn't even bash UT in this thread, I pointed out two things that I never liked about the school THAT I WENT TO. If you have a problem with that or expect UT to be the perfect school, grow up. A&M has just as many problems as UT so the two schools are pretty much equal to me. Hell, they are both flagship schools that are well-respected in the work force, so if you think one's way better than the other, your judgment is clouded.

Thank you for this insightful and informative post Hi-power.

As a student of UT, I had no idea my classes were big.

And as far at UT and A&M being on equal footing, weren't you also the one trying to convince people that McCombs and... whatever the hell A&M calls its business school were on equal footing too?

"I didn't even bash UT in this thread"

you came and posted two negative aspects of the school in your own opinion for no apparent reason

What do UT call its students? Aggerland calls theirs Aggers, excuse me, I meant Aggies (Cough, cough). Y'all called UTsters? Wished that I chose UT instead...

Longhorns

Aggies are pathetic, got it. What school(s) then would be considered “neck and neck” and/or “on equal footing” with UT?

^Hi-Power's new screename?

^Um, no. (10 char)

haha ok just making sure
