I don’t know how much TAP is factored into admissions. But I assume you have a great advantage being TAP certified and therefore probably also pretty good chances. I’m not certain you’ll get in because Business Econ is really competitive, but I’ll say you have a 70-80% chance (ofcourse also depending on essays and ECs).

I bet TAP is just some second chance after failed getting admitted into your first major.

apparently TAP factors greatly into admissions, it doesn’t only allow you to apply with an alternative major.

oh btw, for ECs I have an internship at a company and essays were great as well.

From what I read TAP considerably drops the gpa requirement for admission.

maybe with TAP, you will have a higher chance getting into UCLA in general, as you are able to apply to a non-impacted major.

Hate to sound harsh, but your chances are low, real low.

Business economics is just so impacted, whether you have TAP or not. Judging by the increased number of transfer applicants each year, the avg admitted gpa is only going to rise (last year was >3.9).

UCLA definitely weighs gpa more heavily over EC. It’s not your fault, the major is just so competitive.

Remember by the way, for TAP, don’t put an impact major for your alternate major (i.e. Economics). Because it won’t be looked at.

You have a slim chance. Should have applied as a Math/Econ major with your GPA. What is your alt major and will your complete the pre-reqs for it?

really? The cut off was 3.8 for business economics and i’m right there…
