My UW

Hi, I am in the process of making my UW id and I dont know what the system key or the PAC is for UW Seattle. Does anyone know where to Find it?

Thanks in advance

Are you a newly admitted student or a transfer applicant? If it’s the first one, you should have probably gotten it with your letter. If you didn’t I would recommend contacting “the Registration Office, 225 Schmitz Hall or call 206-543-8580.” or Admissions. If you are a transfer, then you should wait until the end of this month and all instructions will be mailed out.

I haven’t heard back yet

Well, then you should probably wait  Or contact Admissions.

I believe you set up your UW Net ID after you hear back about an admissions decision.

Did you get an email from uw a while ago? Look in your email and through your spam acct and see if you have one. That is how we knew to set up the uwnetid.

Just some advice about the UW net id – you will use it for EVERYTHING and it will be visible to all your teachers and classmates. CHOOSE SOMETHING PROFESSIONAL – not sexybaby15 etc.

Oh, for sure. I put my name on there as my UWID. Oh wait, I put my name on here as my CC-ID. Alas, they are not the same through, but yeah one is apodo-focused, the other is apellido-focused. That’s kinda my thing.

What UW student said …

Remember that it can be up to 8 characters, alphanumeric.
Common forms of the UW Net ID:
-last name (if unique enough that is still available)
-last name + first initial
-first initial + last name
-first name (if unique enough that is still available)
-initials + birth year
-initial

I’ve also seen old nicknames but unless you’re 100% sure you want the professional world to know about that nickname, don’t choose it. Choose something “boring” (in the eyes of some teenagers) instead.

I was blessed to have just my plain first and last name :)

Hahaha yeah I have my last name and it’s perfectly 8 characters. If any of my relatives with the same last name goes to UW, they’re going to have to deal with it ;)

My last name is technically much longer than 8, but whatever.
