My Very weak attempt, chance

Hi i am currently applying to these uc schools
1. UCSD (probably not getting in but my friend told me to try anyway)
2. UC irvine (my #1 choice, i hope i get in)
3. UC riverside
4. UCSB
5. UC Davis

GPA: 3.4

My sat is score is: 1860 (not very good, 2nd time taking it)
- taking sat 2's in Dec. sigh

i took a total of 7 ap classes and have gotten fairly ok grades on all of them. at least i passed them all lol.

-AP bio
-AP chem (3 on ap test lol)
-AP calc (4 on ap test)
-AP calc BC (4 on ap test)

Guys i know it looks like i have no chance (and its probably true), im just making an attempt anyway. I just want some honest feedback because honestly i doubt i can get into any UC, but yea at least i know the truth instead of walking into this system blindly.

thank you for your advice.

D'you live in california? If so...

I think your SAT scores are fine for most of those colleges.. I dunno about UCSD. The GPA is a little low. I think the avg for UCSC is 3.67. But I think your SATs are fairly good for Santa Cruz. As far as I know, Irvine is pretty easy to get into, as is Riverside... I'd say you've got pretty reasonable chances with both of those. I know nothing about UCSB.

I'd say if you life in CA, you'll probably get in to one or more. But I'm not a college admissions expert.

yes i do live in california.

does anyone know my chances for uc irvine?

Hm...I have a brochure for the UC's, here's what it says about Irvine:

for a 3.4 GPA, admit rate is 22.5%
SAT Scores: middle 60%
The overall admit rate for Californians is 93.3%

Id say you have a pretty good shot!

Probably in @ Irvine :)

wait so xenon are you saying its overall a good acceptance because 93% of californians get in?
or cuz of my grades and stuff

Mostly because of the Californian acceptance rate.
However, I would bet that the averages for Californians are lower, but I dont have that data.

Dont get your hopes up yet, but I would say that you are probably in :)
