myBerkeleyApplication Question

I am filling out the "Major prerequisites" portion of Berkeley's myBerkeleyApplication. Some of the classes I have taken have the same name as the Berkeley courses (for example, Poli Sci 4 - Intro to Political Theory; I have taken Poli Sci 10 - Intro to Political Theory at CC). But Assist says "No Course Articulated" across from Poli Sci 4.

Can I include Poli Sci 10 in the prerequisites considering it's the same course name?

No!!

Only include courses that are articulated. Failing to follow instructions could put your application in jeopardy!

On this note, I have a similar question.

At my CCC, Political Science 10 was “Intro to International Relations”. However on the myBerkeley application, “Intro to International Relations” is designated as Political Science 5.

I wrote PoliSci 10 in the blank but I explained in the Additional Comments box the change. Should I write PoliSci 5 in the box instead?

No, Berkeley’s Poli Sci 5 is the course number at berkeley, not the course number at your CC (how could they know?)

Put down the course that is articulated for your CC (assist.org).

Alright I’ll put Political Science 10 in the box and explain in the additional comments section.

Thanks.

In the same vein: If I haven’t completed any prereqs (Philosophy major; don’t ask) do I leave the form blank?

Philo major here too ^^.

Yes. Since there are no articulated courses for the pre-reqs. We leave it blank!

Whoa is philosophy competitive to get in for?
